I grew up in Arlington, Texas and graduated from Lamar High School in 1986. I attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where I received a bachelor of arts in business administration. During my time at Baylor I responded to God's call on my life in the area of christian education. I attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, where I received a Master of Arts in Religious Education. I have served churches in Derby, Kansas, Midland, Texas, and Vernon, Texas before coming to Rockport in 2011. My wife Laura and I met on the very first day at Baylor. We started dating our senior year and were married in 1993. Laura and I have a daughter Meredith and a son Drew.
I enjoy relaxing at home with my family, playing games (my wife likes finding new and unusual games from other countries), computers, and woodworking. I love the Cowboys and the Baylor Bears. I enjoy Dr. Pepper and Blue Bell ice cream. Now that I have moved to Rockport, I am learning to fish.
