I grew up in Cleburne, Texas and graduated high school in 1989. I surrendered to the ministry when I was 18, and after graduation I attended Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas. I received my undergraduate degree in English with a minor in Speech Communication. It was there at Howard Payne that I met and fell in love with my best friend, Kim. We were married in San Antonio in 1993. We both attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, where I received a Master of Divinity with Biblical Languages. I served in student ministry for ten years until the Lord saw fit to lead me into the pastorate. Currently I am a student at B. H. Carrol Theological Institute where I am pursuing a PhD in Pastoral Leadership. Kim and I have a son, Michael, who is two years old and is a genius.
I love the Lord Jesus Christ with all my heart, and I long to be like him in all things. I strive to be an authentic follower of Christ in my family, with my friends, and as I discharge the duties of my calling. I am blessed to be the pastor of this church, where I believe God is doing amazing things.
I enjoy reading, traveling, all kinds of music, playing games, and spending time with family and friends. I have a deep affection for Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee, genuine Texas chili, and home-made vanilla ice cream. I love to go fishing on your boat.
